{My First Year In Review}

We've made it!

The countdown is on.  I last wrote about surviving my first month at UVA, and now here I am with less than a month left of my first year.

Is this real life? Am I really growing up this fast?

I mean seriously... this was me, last year, at this time:

GSSV/SVCC Graduation
And now today...

I'm declaring my major.

I'LL BE GRADUATING FROM UVA IN 2015!

Basically, this year has been absolutely amazing.  College is amazing.  Growing up is amazing.  Life is amazing.

Most of all, Jesus is amazing for sharing all this with me.

With all this amazingness, there is definitely some to share. So...I will share some of it with you.

MY FIRST YEAR IN REVIEW:

~Meet these lovely ladies...my Chi Alpha core group...my wonderful sisters in Christ.  These ladies are amazing, and I am grateful for the time I have spent with them this year.   They have strengthened me emotionally and spiritually, and I am so blessed to have them in my life!

Picking Apples!
Core Group!

~ Meet my suitemates! I could not have been in a better suite this year.  Despite many hot days with no a/c...and a few cold ones toughing out blizzards...living in the Dungle Jungle has been awesome!

Myself, Emily, Caroline, Maddie, and Cailey
{not pictured: Devin, Katie, Krista, and Gemma but they are awesome, too!}

~Then...I had to be my clumsy self and fall down steps on the way to class, spraining my ankle.  Though it wasn't a highlight of my year, I had my first experience with crutches and entertained Michael and Krista while I tried (and failed) using them!

My swollen ankle...
my selfie at student health afterwards...

~Since UVA was so great to me, I had to share my joy with my family....

Cassie, Maddie, and John Luke

~Then...Christmas was celebrated in Charlottesville and Jarratt, Virginia!  It wasn't a white Christmas...but we did get plenty of snow later!

~Afterwards, Michael, his cousin Mattie, Cassie, Destiny, and I headed west to Lynchburg, Virginia for a road trip!  We worshiped Jesus for two entire days...then, we all brought in 2013 praising the Almighty God!  It was amazing to see them in awe as they saw thousands of christians come together worshiping Jesus.   I wanted to show them how great He is!  All in all, Christmas and New Years was a great experience!

My Other Half :)
Bringing in 2013 praising the Almighty One!

~and then it begins...

...we had many snowfalls, but the biggest one pounded us with 15.5 inches of snow! It was pretty...but cold with no heat :)

"if all the rain drops were lemon drops and gum drops...
oh what a rain that would be..."

Despite blizzards and crazy weather, we had to make it to baseball games...

in cold weather....
...and in warm weather

...and we even met TJ!

In all, this year has been
{amazing, fabulous, wonderful, crazy, fantastic, unforgettable, awesome...and the list goes on}

I love UVA.  I love life.  Most importantly, I love Jesus, and I thank him every day for giving me this amazing opportunity.

This school year isn't over yet.  We still have papers, tests, WARM SPRING WEATHER, and even final exams to make it through... But we're in the 4 week stretch until Summer!

So long for now. I have to go write some of those papers.  To leave you in peace, here's reason #1939054843095 why UVA is amazing...
